Main ideas
This Unit aims to support professionals using art therapy as a psychoeducation tool to address the learning challenges experienced by adults with the most common learning disabilities.
To that end, this unit will cover the use of art therapy-based psychoeducation among adults with learning disabilities, how it meets the target group’s specific needs, and related strategies to implement its use in formal, non-formal, and informal education settings.

On successful completion of this Learning Unit, the participants will be able to:
- Identify advantages of using art therapy-based psychoeducation with adults with learning disabilities
- Describe how art therapy-based psychoeducation meets these adults’ specific needs and strengths
